Glasgow is gearing up for the biggest musical weekend of the summer – TRNSMT
This weekend global music superstars such as Radiohead, Kasabian, the 1975 and Biffy Clyro will be descending on the city.
Radiohead will bring their own brand of mesmerising alt-rock to the Friday night headline slot with what will no doubt go down as an iconic gig for the city by Thom Yorke and his merry men, one backed up by local support in the form of indie-pop charmers Belle & Sebastian – who are set to play their biggest ever Scottish show.
Saturday headliners Kasabian will bring their swagger and bottled-up bravado to the main stage, with strong support in the form of Welsh troubadours Catfish & The Bottlemen, while Sunday’s highly anticipated finale will see hometown heroes Biffy Clyro tear up Glasgow Green alongside English electro-popsters The 1975.
A who’s who of Glasgow’s favourite street food vendors will have spoilt for choice when the bellies start rumbling. Fans can enjoy fresh and seasonal Indian treats from Babu Bombay Street Kitchen, wood fired Italian pizzas from Nomad Glasgow and veggie/vegan delights thanks to Goodness Gracious, not forgetting cold beer and cocktails to wash it down from Martha’s.
